About QuickPhotos
What is QuickPhotos?
QuickPhotos is a city-by-city marketplace for photographers, videographers and editors, mainly in India. Clients post what they need (a wedding, pre-wedding, event, product shoot or portrait session) and photographers who work in that city contact them on WhatsApp. Photographers keep a public profile with their work, and Insights is our library of practical articles for photographers.
Is QuickPhotos free for clients?
Yes. Posting a project and browsing photographers is free for clients. You agree the price of the shoot only with the photographer you choose, and you pay them directly. QuickPhotos never takes payment for a shoot.
Is QuickPhotos part of WhatsApp?
No. QuickPhotos is an independent service. We use WhatsApp to talk to clients and photographers because it is quick and everyone already has it.
Which cities do you cover?
Any city can be used. Each city has its own page with the photographers who cover it and its open projects. Most photographers today are in Indian cities such as Pune, Mumbai, Indore, Surat, Jaipur, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. A project is shown to photographers in its city, in nearby cities of the same metro area, and to photographers willing to travel when there are few nearby.
Which languages can I use?
The site and the WhatsApp assistant work in English, Hindi, Arabic, French, Italian and Russian. Write to us on WhatsApp in any of them and the reply comes in the same language.
For clients: finding a photographer
How do I find a photographer?
Use Post a project on the website: choose the kind of shoot, your name, the city and the date, then tap Send to WhatsApp and send the message as it is. Your project goes live at once and photographers in your city contact you. You can also send a plain WhatsApp message with the city and the kind of shoot, or browse the photographers on your city's page.
What do I need to post a project?
Only the city where the shoot happens and the kind of shoot. The date, budget, notes and your name are optional but help photographers reply with the right offer. The city is where the shoot takes place, not where you live.
What kinds of shoots can I post?
Wedding, pre-wedding, engagement, maternity and newborn, baby and kids, family and portrait, fashion and model, corporate event, product and e-commerce, food, real estate and architecture, travel, landscape and wildlife, sports, and other.
What happens after I send the WhatsApp message?
You get a confirmation on WhatsApp that your project is live, with its reference (like QP-AB12C). Photographers who cover your city are told about it, and those interested contact you directly on WhatsApp or by phone. Compare their profiles and portfolios and agree the price with the one you like.
Who can see my phone number?
Only photographers who unlock your project, after confirming on WhatsApp. Your number and email are never shown on the website; the project page shows the kind of shoot, the city, the date and your notes with any contact details hidden. Please do not write phone numbers or emails in the notes.
How long does my project stay open?
Until the end of the event day in your city. A project without a fixed date stays open for 30 days. You can extend it, or close it once you have found your photographer, by signing in to the website.
Can I change my project after posting it?
Yes. Sign in with your email and you can change the notes, date, budget and your name. The city and the kind of shoot cannot be changed; post a new project instead.
How many projects can I post?
Up to 3 new projects a day from one phone number, and up to 5 open at the same time.
Can I contact a specific photographer?
Yes. Open their profile and tap Connect on WhatsApp, then send the message as it is. We reply on WhatsApp with that photographer's contact details. Photographers' phone numbers are not printed on the website.
How do I rate a photographer I hired?
After your event we ask who you hired, the final bill and a rating from 1 to 5, on the website or on WhatsApp. Only clients with a confirmed hire can rate. The rating is public; the bill amount stays private and is only used to rank photographers.
For photographers: joining and getting work
How do I join as a photographer?

Does it cost anything to have a profile?
No. A profile is free. You spend connects only when you choose to unlock a client's project.
My profile was added from your earlier site. What can I do?
Most earlier profiles are already linked to the WhatsApp number you registered with. If yours was not, you can claim it from the profile page, or ask for it to be removed with Remove my profile.
How do I hear about new projects?
Projects in your cities are emailed to you (a few a day at most, the rest in a daily summary), listed on the Projects page, and sent on WhatsApp when you write PROJECTS to our number. You choose your cities, kinds of shoot and minimum budget under Notifications.
What are connects?
Connects are the unit photographers use to unlock a client's project. They come from coupon codes, have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are never refunded. Connects from free coupons usually last 30 days and from paid codes 365 days; the earliest to expire are used first.
How much does it cost to unlock a project?
Usually 20 connects. The exact price of each project is shown on the project page and quoted on WhatsApp before you confirm.
How do I unlock a client's project?
Tap Connect on WhatsApp on the project page and send the message (UNLOCK and the project reference). We reply with the price and your balance. Reply CONFIRM with the reference to spend the connects, and we send you the client's details. Nothing is spent until you confirm. You need an approved profile and a confirmed email to unlock.
How do I get connects?
Redeem a coupon code: public coupons are listed on the Coupons page (new photographers can usually redeem a welcome coupon once their profile is approved), and partners sell paid codes. Send REDEEM and the code to our WhatsApp number, or tap Redeem on WhatsApp on the Coupons page.
Can I get my connects back for a bad lead?
No. Connects are never refunded or returned, for any reason, including a client who does not answer or has already booked someone. You can still report a fake or abusive client so we can act on it.
What is XP and how do I earn it?
XP (experience points) ranks photographers in city lists; it is not connects and cannot be bought. You earn it from confirmed hires (more for bigger jobs and better ratings), repeat clients, completing your profile, daily visits to your dashboard and unlocking projects, each with limits. Levels go from 1 to 5. Some free coupons need a minimum XP.
How are photographers ordered on city pages?
By XP, then recent activity, then how complete the profile is. There is no paid placement.
Which WhatsApp commands can I use?
Send MENU to see your options, BALANCE for your connects, HISTORY for recent activity, PROJECTS for open projects in your cities, UNLOCK and CONFIRM with a project reference, REDEEM with a coupon code, PROFILE for your profile and XP for your points and level.
