Content and Copyright Policy

Version 1, effective 2026-09-27
Draft. This text is waiting for review by our legal adviser and may change. The version and date below show which text applies.
This policy applies to every picture, video and text that a professional adds to QuickPhotos, and to the magazine.

1. Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you add. Before you upload you accept the Content Declaration:
1.
You own the copyright, or hold a licence that allows this display.
2.
Every identifiable person in it (children through a parent or guardian) has consented to public display and promotion of your work on QuickPhotos.
3.
It contains nothing unlawful, explicit or defamatory.
4.
You accept full responsibility for any copyright, privacy or likeness claim, and will compensate QuickPhotos for any loss from it.

2. Licence to us

You give QuickPhotos a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, resize, cache and display your work on your own profile and portfolio. Any other use (the magazine, the home page, social posts) happens only if you switch on "Feature my work". You keep your copyright. Your name is shown with your work.

3. Privacy of pictures

Location and camera details are removed from every uploaded picture; your name and copyright notice are kept. Your pictures never appear next to a client's contact or event details.

4. Reporting and takedown

Every picture has a "Report this picture" link and anyone can use the complaint form. We review each complaint, hide the item while we check, and tell the uploader, who may send a counter-notice within 10 days. We then restore the item or remove it permanently. If nobody answers, the removal becomes final.

5. Strikes

Each upheld complaint is one strike. Three strikes switch off uploading for that profile. We may also suspend a profile that repeatedly breaks this policy.

6. Magazine pictures

Magazine pictures come from sources with a licence that allows use, and each carries its credit line. We keep our own copy.

7. Contact

Complaints: the form at Copyright and privacy complaints, or quickphotosco@gmail.com. Grievance Officer: Meenal Gupte.
